Q: How much money does your shelter make a year?
A: None...some people like to think we are selling these animals to make a profit but that simply is not
true. Companies such as Iams, Purina, Science Diet and Pedigree donate bags of food and veterinary care to our shelter. Without
their support there would be no shelter. We rely on help from our community when it comes to daily maintenance of the shelter.
Everyone who works here does it for love, not money.
Q: Can I come to the shelter?
A: Usually only employees are allowed inside, here is why. We are trying to reduce the amount of impulse
adoptions. We encourage people to really do their research on a particular animal/breed. That way you know what you want and
it reduces the impulse to grab up the first snuggly animal you see. When you decide what type of animal you want we will make
an appointment and set up a meeting with you and a representative with up to 3 animals best matching your description.
When you have fallen in love you just fill out an application and your new best bud can go home with you.
Q: How much do you charge for adoptions.
A: Adoption charges are set case by case depending on the following factors, Breed:if an animal is a notoriously
high maintenance breed (ie poodle etc) we may charge more because of grooming needs. Sex: altered animals will always
be less. If you sign a contract pledging to have the animal altered we may lower the cost. Life expectancy:Older animals
will be less. There are many other influences not listed here.
Q:What If I can't keep my new pet?
A: If there is even a doubt in your mind that this new arrangement won't work out then please do not adopt
